Yinka Ajibola graduated from University of Ile Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), Nigeria, in 1976.
Her experience over the years in senior management positions in Lever Brothers Nigeria Limited (now Unilever), Rank Xerox Nig Ltd, Continental Pharmaceutical Limited, International Paints West Africa Ltd and Afriko West Africa Limited (a photographic and graphic trading outfit), greatly equipped her for many future assignments she subsequently carried out.
She later set up her own Consultancy and Trading Company, Double Q Ltd. Double Q Ltd specialized in operations planning and developing computerized models for production, sales and marketing operations for medium sized organizations. Double Q Ltd was also involved in various trading operations which included import and sales of printing, photographic and graphic products, export and sales of cassava chips.
Her passion for service was brought to fore between 1994 and 2002 as the Executive Secretary, Christ Against Drug Abuse Ministry (CADAM), a volunteer position in a Non Governmental Organization involved in treatment and rehabilitation of drug dependent persons. She was responsible for sourcing funds for the operations of the NGO from donor agencies, religious, public and private organizations; planning and managing the operations of the existing 2 Treatment and Rehabilitation Centers and also responsible for managing the finances and the Vocational center of the ministry.
In 2002, Yinka moved to Abuja, the federal capital territory of Nigeria to set up Gilgal Education, an educational institution that prepares student for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and other parts of the world. She is currently the Managing Consultant of Gilgal Education.
She has been a very active member of BPW since 2002. She along with others on the fundraising committee facilitated corporate sponsorship key events of the BPW Africa Regional Conference in Abuja in 2009. She is currently the second Vice President of the BPW Abuja Club, Nigeria.
Yinka is a member of the BPW International Standing Committee on Environment, Sustainable Development and Water and participated in the Nairobi Conference on Water for Women Partnership (WfWP) in February 2010. She has been nominated to serve on the Steering Committee of Women and Water Decade in Africa.
